Senior security Engineer Full-time

Responsibilities:

• Drive the implementation and rollout of security-in-depth concept to ensure security is incorporated in all the different layers within the products and our mission-critical hosting environments in our datacenters and public clouds (AWS, Azure, etc.)
• Responsible for monitoring of security tools and technologies, such as SIEM, log monitoring and alerting, WAF and IDS/IPS.
• Conduct security scanning and testing on our hosting environment and web applications
• Monitor security vulnerability databases and respond to security bug reports as well as internal and external security scan reports
• Work with engineering and software QA teams to prioritize and address security bug fixes, security feature implementations and various security enhancements
• Conduct security design reviews and develop or enhance security requirements related to new and existing software platforms, systems and features
• Conduct internal and external security assessments, audits, and penetration testing
• Create and maintain comprehensive internal and external documentation
• Manage and enhance a security lab environment

Skills & Requirements Requirements

• 4+ years of professional experience in information security and web application security
• Excellent understanding of web protocols and standards (TCP/IP, HTTP, SSL, DNS, etc.)
• Experience with vulnerability scanning, SIEM, log management and alerting tools such as Qualys, Nexpose, SumoLogic, Splunk, AlienVault, etc.
• Experience with commercial and/or open source security tools (for example: Nessus, Metasploit, ZAP, Wireshark, IDS/IPS, Firewall, etc.)
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Perl, PHP, Python, Ruby, Shell, etc.
• Proficiency in Linux/Windows/MAC OSX security administration • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Strong oral and written communication skills
• Associate or Bachelor degree (Computer Science or Technology preferred)

Additional Desired Qualification
• Security certifications such as CISM, SANS, GPEN, CEH, CCNA, etc.
• Knowledge of Cryptography • Experience in DevSecOps • Good understanding of web technologies and concepts (HTML, JavaScript, XML, JSON, REST, AJAX) • Experience with audits and compliance (SAS 70/SSAE 16, ISO 27001, SOX, PCI DSS, etc.)
