Senior Quality Engineer Full-time

Job Location: Bangalore
Expected Start Date. 1 Month
Minimum Relevant Experience. 5 – 8 years of experience
Academic Minimum Qualification Bachelor of Engineering degree / Master of Computer Applications/
Master of Engineering / M. Tech (preferred)
Mandatory Technical Skills Proficiency • Good understanding of network protocols – TCP/IP, ICMP, HTTP
• Good understanding of cryptographic protocols – SSL/TLS and cipher implementation
• Good understanding of *Nix Platforms
• Good understanding of shell scripts, C/C++ and .NET based programs
• Experience in Network Penetration Testing and ethical hacking
• Solid Experience in Web Application Penetration Testing including SOAP/REST APIs
• Experience in conducting penetrating testing on Wireless Protocols or implementing them – WPA, WPA2, WPA-Enterprise, 802.1x

Tools , Technologies and Standards Proficiency • Programming Languages- Python/Powershell, .NET/Java, C,C++
• Static Code Scanning Tools like Fortify , Coverity
• Dynamic Scanning Tools like Appscan, Burpsuite, Acunetix
• Understanding of Industry Standards like Cert Coding Guidelines, OWASP, NIST, SANS Top 25
• Experience on Tools like Nmap, Qualys, Nessus, Metasploit, Kali Linux
Certifications Preferred • OSCP-Offensive Security Certified Professional
• EC Council- Security Analyst
• EC-Council -Certified Ethical Hacker
GWAPT, GPEN, SANS Institute
Additional Preferred Technical Skills • Knowledge of Electronic Circuits, and researching on them using JTAG, UART connectivity
• Knowledge of reverse engineering binaries using tools like IDA,
• Knowledge of Angular JS, MVC/MVVM Framework
• Proficiency in conducting manual/expert security code reviews in .NET, C/C++
• Experience with Threat Modelling Tools or Threat modelling Frameworks
Other Skills • Ability to assess testing tools and deploy the right ones
• Ability to explain findings to non-technical professionals
• Excellent report writing and presentation skills
• Able to work independently but also as part of a team
• Flexibility to change direction and manage conflicting demands
• Should have managed a team of at least 2 to 3 engineers
Job Responsibilities: • Write Security TestPlans for various Crestron products
• Identify and define security standards applicable to various devices and software services run by Crestron
• Perform quality review on reports submitted by engineers working on various Crestron products.
• Conduct internal knowledge sharing trainings on security aspects of various Crestron products
• Audit Crestron devices and software inventory to identify vulnerabilities, risks and application of standard practices for hardening
• Auditing often involves running security Vulnerability scans, and pre-defined automation scripts
• Conduct manual penetration testing of devices based on defined testplan
• Identify, record, document product vulnerabilities and escalate their severity based on impact to product security
• Present security reports to senior management post completion of security audits
• Implement Crestron Secure deployment standard on devices for review and audit purposes
• Suggest/Recommend improvement in existing deployment guides
• Research on platform specific vulnerabilities and keep a tab on upcoming CVEs and report the same to internal technical teams
