Sales Development Representative at Cyber Security Startup Full-time

Opening Overview: The Sales Development Representative is a pivotal role in SecureLayer7's build out of its sales organization. The role's primary responsibility is in identifying and qualifying leads in the most effective way possible and turn them into pipeline opportunities. This role will work closely with pre-sales executives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment typical of most startups.

Responsibilities:

Learn in-depth knowledge about the cybersecurity space
Call on all opportunities from call list, networks, lead generations, RFP's and cold calling to build a pipeline and close new business.
Ensure timely follow-up with clients, before and after sales calls, inquiries, etc.
Provide first response to sales prospects via telephone and email
Qualify inbound leads and turn them into pipeline opportunities
Help drive new business via outbound prospecting
Research potential customers and partner with sales executives to close must win accounts
Participate in weekly sales meetings and articulate successes and failures
Maintain, track, and report sales-related activity in Salesforce
Assist in sales department hiring as business grows
Ability to communicate and coordinate opportunities effectively with upper management


Qualifications:

Sales track record of thriving in a hyper growth, self starting environment
Hungry, self-sufficient, highly organized, with strong attention to detail
Boundless energy with positive attitude and a natural people person
Familiarity with Salesforce, InsightSquared, Docusign, Docsend, Conga, and MS Office a plus
2+ years of experience in a technical sales-related role
Cybersecurity sales background a big plus
Business or technical degree a plus
