Security Researcher Full-time

You will research and develop cutting edge vulnerabilitydetection techniques. This requires in depth understanding of vulnerabilities, exploitation techniques, networking concepts, and scripting. You need to understand complex In-the-wild threats and develop robust detection solutions.


Description:

• Knowledge in vulnerability and malware detection tools and technologies

• Knowledge in exploitation (Shellcode, ROP, Heap spray etc.) and mitigation techniques (ASLR, DEP etc.)

• Understanding of IP and TCP/UDP/ICMP protocols including header contents and protocol flow concepts.

• Solid understanding at the packet level of common internet protocols such as HTTP, DNS, SMTP, POP3, IMAP, SSL, Telnet, SSH, SNMP, etc.

• Hands on experience using wireshark/tcpdump or a similar network analysis tool on a daily basis

• Experience with any open source or commercial IDS/IPS system

• Experience using Regular Expression

• Experience in Python/Ruby

• Experience in penetration testing tools like metasploit and coreimpact desirable.

• Able to research functional specifications, RFC’s, and other technical documentation and create effective, efficient and innovative solutions through thorough comprehension.

• Past NIPS Signature writing experiences a plus.

• Ability to work independently.

• The candidate must posse’s excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
